Visit the Modlin Center Box Office located in the Booth lobby of the Modlin Center for the Arts: 453 Westhampton Way, Richmond, VA 23173.

Payment methods accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Apply Pay, Google Pay, and Modlin Center gift certificate. As of June 2026, the Modlin Center is a cashless facility. This includes transactions at the Box Office and Corner Booth bar.

For the 2026-27 season there will be no ticket fees.

On Sale Dates

June 15 — Create Your Own Series and Christian McBride Jazz Weekend packages pre-sale for current subscribers and campus members
June 29 — Create Your Own Series and Christian McBride Jazz Weekend packages open to the public
August 3 — Individual tickets on sale 

Free Admission Events

Performances by the Department of Music and Department of Theatre & Dance are free with a ticket. Beginning August 3, reserve tickets in advance online or in-person at the Modlin Box Office the day of each performance. Seating is general admission on a first come, first served basis.

Customize your own series of Modlin Arts Presents performances and receive deep discounts and premium perks!

Create Your Own Series 

Create your own custom series by choosing three or more Modlin Arts Presents performances and enjoy 20% off full-price tickets and additional perks including priority seating, flexible ticket exchanges, 20% discount throughout the season, and priority access to the Christian McBride Jazz Weekend package. Additional or combined discounts do not apply to Create Your Own Series subscriptions. This season’s Christian McBride Jazz Weekend is also not included.

Christian McBride Jazz Weekend

A three-day jazz series curated by bassist Christian McBride featuring artists that encompass the broad range of the jazz spectrum. Order multiple jazz performances to enjoy greater savings and priority access to seating.

Individual Ticket Discounts

Seniors
Seniors 65 years or older receive a 10% discount on full-price tickets for Modlin Arts Presents performances. Discount is limited to the senior(s) in the party.

UR Faculty, Staff, and Osher Members
UR faculty, staff, and Osher members receive up to two $15 tickets with UR ID. Additional benefits include subscriber perks for Create Your Own Series (3+ Modlin Arts Presents shows) and Christian McBride Jazz Weekend (2+ shows) subscription packages.

UR Students
UR students receive one free ticket to Modlin Arts Presents performances. Limit one ticket per UR ID per event.

Non-UR Student and Youth Discounts
Tickets are $10 each for non-University of Richmond college students and youth and under 18.

Community Access Tickets
We offer $15 tickets on an as available basis so that even more members of our community will have the opportunity to experience the arts. 

Group Discounts
Groups that purchase 10 or more seats to a single performance are eligible to save 20% off full-priced tickets. K-12 Groups receive one free chaperone ticket with purchases of over 10 tickets.

    Accessibility

    Discounts
    The Modlin Center for the Arts offers discounts for many of its performances. These discounts are not always available for all events sold by the Modlin Box Office. Additional or combined discounts do not apply. If you are unsure if you or someone in your party is eleiglbe for a discount, please contact the Modlin Box Office staff.

    Refunds
    All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only available in the case of an event cancelation.

    Exchanges
    Modlin Arts Presents subscribers are eligible for flexible ticket privileges including a choice of ticket exchange, gift certificate for future tickets, or transferring tickets to a friend or family member up to 24 hours prior to the performance. Requests made on the day of the show will be returned as a tax-deductible donation to the Modlin Center.
    Single ticket holders may exchange or transfer tickets up to 48 hours priors to the performance.

    Performance Change or Cancelation
    If there is a major change with a performance or a cancelation of some kind, the Modlin Box Office will contact the ticketholder via email or phone as soon as possible.

    Depending on the cause of the change or cancelation, the ticket holder may be offered the opportunity to exchange their tickets to another Modlin Center for the Arts performance, to receive a Modlin Center for the Arts gift certificate, to return their ticket as a tax-deductible donation, or to receive a refund.

    Inclement Weather
    When there is inclement weather in our region, Modlin Center understands that weather and travel can cause concerns for patrons. The best way to determine an event status is to check our website or automated phone system: 804-289-8980. We will announce the status of the event as soon as it is decided.

    If you feel uncomfortable traveling to the Modlin Center, please contact us before the event begins to exchange or donate your tickets at 804-289-8980 or modlinarts@richmond.edu. We will post cancellations and postponements to the following places:

    Reservations
    Tickets cannot be held without payment – the box office does not allow customers to reserve tickets with the intention of paying in the future.

    If you are purchasing on behalf of an organization or a large group, need to use a purchase order, or other payment form, please alert the box office.

    Ticket Required for Entry
    When a performance is ticketed, every person entering the venue, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

    Third-Party Tickets
    Modlin.richmond.edu is the only authorized and official website for purchasing tickets to events at the University of Richmond’s Modlin Center for the Arts. Tickets purchased from any other website or third-party vendor may be counterfeit, and these seats cannot be guaranteed. Tickets purchased from sources other than modlin.richmond.edu are not eligible for an exchange or reprint, and cannot be transferred to a new patron’s name.
