Wilde Creatures

Wilde Creatures is a sensory-friendly theater performance for everyone. The performance is designed to create a performing arts experience where all audiences are welcome, including those on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities. A relaxed and accepting atmosphere will be established. All individuals regardless of their sensory needs are welcome to attend the performance and to take advantage of the modifications that a sensory-friendly performance provides. The performance running time is 70 minutes, including a short post-show Q&A with the artists.

We’ll be making the following modifications to Alice Jepson Theatre and our house policies for the performance.

Break Space
If you need to take a break from the performance, you can move to the lobby where you can watch and listen to the performance on video monitors.

Pacing Rows
We’ll set aside rows in which no one will be seated so that individuals can walk freely, if they desire, without disturbing other audience members.

Seating is open and first-come, first-serve. There will be limited crowds with extra space between patrons and an open seating section in which you can re-seat yourself, should you wish, during the performance.

The performance will strive to create a calm setting. Earplugs will be available at the concierge kiosk and from ushers. Individuals may also bring their headphones.

House Lights
House lights will remain on at a low level in the theatre during the performance.

Digital Screens
The lobby digital screens will not be showing videos and other content. During the performance, they will show the video feed of what’s taking place on stage.

Relaxing of House Rules
Audience members are welcome to enter and exit the theatre as needed. You can walk around if you need to in the lobby.
