October 25, 2024, 7:30 PM
Camp Concert Hall

The Wagner & Kong Cello and Piano Duo has been acclaimed for their sensitive and passionate artistry. Cellist Christoph Wagner hails from Germany, is the winner of numerous international awards, and has performed in prestigious venues around the world. Joanne Kong, pianist and faculty member at the University of Richmond, was awarded a fellowship from the American Academy of the Arts in Europe, and was Grand Prize Winner in the 1985 International Piano Recording Competition. One concertgoer wrote, “Christoph and Joanne come together with exquisite beauty. That unique ability - the gift of sharing - from the composer, to and through Christoph and Joanne, and into the body and soul of the listener speaks to the depth of their connection to the music and each other. Their playing is exquisite and is a gift to all who have the opportunity of experiencing them.”

The duo will perform works by Chopin, Brahms, and Fanny Mendelssohn.
