Pop Matters praises “McCalla’s fluency with varying musical genres ranging from R&B to traditional Haitian, rock ‘n’ roll to Calypso, and Cajun dancehall to zydeco.” McCalla is an Artist-In-Residence with the Department of Music at the University of Richmond.
