Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music

GRAMMYⓇ Award-winning Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov will grace the Modlin Center for the Arts with an incredibly rare U.S. performance. Winner of Gramophone’s 2016 Artist of the Year award, Trifonov has made a spectacular ascent in the world of classical music as a solo artist, a champion of the concerto repertoire, a collaborator at the keyboard in chamber music and song, and a brilliant composer. His combination of consummate technique with rare sensitivity and depth is why The Times (UK) calls Trifonov “without question the most astounding pianist of our age.” The evening’s program will include Beethoven’s Andante Favori, and Sonata No. 18, Op. 31, No. 3 (“The Hunt”); selections from Schumann’s Bunte Blätter, as well as his Presto passionato, Op. 22; and Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 8.
