Ticket Policies and Patron Guidelines

The following guidelines and policies help to ensure that each audience member has the best possible experience when attending a performance at the Modlin Center for the Arts.

Ticket Policies

Please note that all ticket sales are final, and refunds will not be given.

Ticket exchanges are available for season subscribers only.

Late Seating

Patrons arriving late to performances will be seated at the discretion of house management at an appropriate break. Latecomers may be seated in alternate seat locations to avoid disruption of the performance.

The Modlin Center welcomes patrons of all ages to experience and enjoy the arts. Please carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for children before planning to attend with young people. If you have concerns or questions about a specific event, please call the Box Office at (804) 289-8980.

University safety regulations require that all persons regardless of age, including babies and children seated in laps, must have a ticket for ticketed events. Please be considerate of others in the audience and your young person's comfort. Children who are disruptive will not be allowed to remain in the venue.

Mobile Devices

Please silence your phone upon entering the venue. Mobile phone use is strictly prohibited inside all venues. Texting and the taking of photographs or videos by phone are not permitted. If you expect to be contacted during a performance, please leave your mobile device and seat location with the house manager.

Cameras and Recording Devices

Cameras or recording devices of any kind are not permitted in Modlin Center venues and must be surrendered to house management before entering the venue. The use of any recording device, either audio or video, and the taking of photographs, with or without flash, is strictly prohibited.

No Perfume, Please

Please refrain from wearing cologne, perfume, or fragranced personal products, as other patrons may be unable to enjoy the performance due to allergies or chemical sensitivity. Thank you for helping us make our events safe and accessible for others.

Disruptive Behavior

Any Modlin Center patron who poses a health or sanitary risk, causes a disturbance to other patrons, causes damage to Modlin Center property, or does not cooperate with University staff when asked to follow Modlin Center policies will be asked to leave the venue.
