Modlin Center for the ArtsModlin Center for the Arts

The Modlin Center cherishes bringing people together to celebrate the arts. Unfortunately, bringing people together is something we cannot do at this time. In an effort to support social distancing measures recommended by the CDC, and with the health and safety of our campus and community as our top priority, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to suspend all remaining performances and events scheduled in the 2019-2020 season. Visit https://modlin.richmond.edu/covid19.html for full details and refund information.

While the Modlin Center may be closed, the show must go on. Click here for an ever-growing list of organizations that are offering free online visual and performing arts experiences.

Alexander Kordzaia, music director and conductor

The UR Symphony Orchestra will present George Gershwin’s celebrated masterpiece Rhapsody in Blue (new harp and Orchestra version) with young virtuoso harpist Ian McVoy as arranger and harp soloist, and music of Mendelssohn’s concert overture The Hebrides Op. 26, and Saint-Saens dance Bacchanal from the opera Samson and Dalilah.
