“Ms. Brown is an assured performer … magisterial.
The New York Times

Founded in 2006, Camille A. Brown & Dancers is a Bessie Award-winning dance company, known for its brilliant combination of theatricality, contemporary and social dance, gesture, and live music. Artistic Director Camille A. Brown is a celebrated choreographer of Broadway’s Once on This Island and NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar. Brown’s choreography leads her dancers through excavations of ancestral stories, encouraging each dancer to embrace their unique embodiment of the artistic vision. A rising star on Broadway and in concert dance, her work inspires dialogues about race, culture, and identity.

The evening’s program offers highlights from her critically acclaimed African-American identity trilogy including the Bessie Award-winning Mr. TOL E. RAncE, BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play, and ink.

Artist Voices Stay after the performance for a Q&A discussion with members of the Company. Tucker-Boatwright Event
