Local Restaurants

Richmond is a small city with a big-city palate. Over the past 10 years, the city has witnessed a restaurant renaissance much to the delight of area foodies. From Southern cuisine and fresh seafood to a menu of Mediterranean restaurants, we've got a little bit of everything. Many restaurants capitalize on Richmond's proximity to small farms and the area's many farmers' markets by featuring fresh, local—and tasty—ingredients.

If you're coming in from out of town, the Modlin Center for the Arts is located in Richmond's West End—a good place to start if you're searching for nearby restaurants. If you're mapping restaurants online, there are a number of eateries at the intersections of Libbie and Grove, Patterson and Three Chopt, Libbie and Patterson, and River and Huguenot, all of which are just a short drive from campus. The University of Richmond's Heilman Dining Center is also open to the public.
