The Modlin Center for the Arts is located in Richmond's West End on the campus of the University of Richmond. The surrounding campus and neighboring areas provide a beautiful setting for the arts and offer a number of local restaurants for pre- or post-performance dining. If arriving by car, free parking for Modlin Center venues is available off of Crenshaw Way.
During the 2016-17 season, the Modlin Center will present Eighth Blackbird with Will Oldham (Bonnie “Prince” Billy) at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Leslie Cheek Theatre; Russian National Ballet Theatre’s Swan Lake, Balé Folclórico Da Bahia in Bahia of All Colours, and Gerald Clayton + The Assembly in Piedmont Blues at Dominion Art Center’s Carpenter Theatre; Kodo in Dadan 2017, and Les 7 Doigts De La Main (The 7 Fingers) in Cuisine 7 Confessions at Altria Theater; along with Clay McLeod Chapman’s The Pumpkin Pie Show: 20-Year Anniversary at Dominion Art Center’s Libby S. Gottwald Playhouse as part of the Modlin Downtown series. Please note that these performances are held in downtown Richmond; the Modlin Center Shuttle is available for convenient transportation to and from the Carpenter Theatre.
