Dance as "pratiityasamutpaada"Posted: March 6, 2008; 10:53
by: Doug To me, the dance style demonstrated the Buddhist concept of "pratiityasamutpaada", or coming-into-being. To me, the dancers were doing more than illustrating events or ideas, more than responding to them, they were spinning a reality right there on the stage space, interacting with it, and then letting it dissolve away. Watching it was a powerful meditative experience.
