Visit Interpreti Veneziani Baroque Orchestra on the Web“It was an exhilarating experience to attend a performance by an ensemble of this caliber.” —The Times (London)
Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music
From Venice, Italy, comes a group of master musicians who made their debut in 1987, immediately becoming a main attraction for both locals and visitors to the romantic city. The ensemble plays more than 350 concerts a year in Venice at the San Vidal Church, where Vivaldi used to play and where his spirit lives on. Playing on original instruments, specializing in mostly Baroque music, the individual talent of the members, their expertise as soloists and ensemble musicians, and the high level of performances have earned Interpreti Veneziani an enthusiastic welcome from both audiences and critics alike. Even though it is difficult to reproduce the Venetian atmosphere and Vivaldi’s music in concert halls, Interpreti Veneziani manage to do the impossible—they unfold the silence of the lagoon and the romanticism of the city wherever they go, feeling that no other composer renders Venice better than he does.

by: DAVID Absolutely superb in every aspect. The instruments(all of them) truly did sound "period". All of the musicians are extremely talented!!!!!
Davide Amadio makes the cello talk and he is quite an entertainer.
Please have them back next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by: J. What a wonderful treat! Nine superb string playing musicians, each able to solo or accompany with the same degree of professionalism, who brought the spirit of the music as well as the notes to town and sent it soaring into the hall. The concert was over way too soon. Bring them back!

by: Nancy I had the pleasure of hearing the ensemble last October at their home base, the San Vidal Church, in Venice. Needless to say, I was thrilled to be able to hear them a second time-- in my home town! They exude electric energy and produce musical magic. It was wonderful to see the same musicians – especially Davide Amadio, who brings a very special touch to the cello. All in all -- their performances make for a satisfying memorable evening.
Special thanks for the “open rehearsal” prior to the performance. It provided a fascinating up-close-and-personal look into the perceived high level of collaboration within the group; it’s the real deal. This was my first visit to Booker Hall. I’m now looking forward to my next.

by: Samantha Absolutely first rate. I look forward to Clarke Bustard's review; I'm sure the broken-down Times-Dispatch won't have one......

by: John My family was totally reved by this performance. We like baroque - but I guess we often expect it to go clicking-by like a metronome. This was so expressive in dynamics and tempo. A great experience - thank you Modlin Center!
