Directions:
Click the University of Richmond campus map on the right for directions to the Modlin Center, as well as to see a map of the University of Richmond campus and the Modlin Center for the Arts complex.
Parking:
The Modlin Center has several free parking lots. The most convenient to both performance halls is at the main entrance to the Modlin Center at the end of Crenshaw Way by the Westhampton Gate. There is also an overflow lot across from the Jepson Alumni Center for busy nights, with a well-lit walkway to the front doors of the Modlin Center. Specially marked handicap-accessible parking spaces are in close proximity to the main entrance. Campus Police will tow cars not parked in designated parking spaces. Warnings will not be given.
Accessibility:
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in all Modlin Center venues. We recommend that tickets be purchased in advance since seating is limited. To find your seats, please ask an usher for assistance. The Alice Jepson Theatre has an elevator to take patrons from one level to the next. Ushers will be glad to direct you to the elevator. For events in Camp Concert Hall, please use the elevator across from the Harnett Museum of Art in the Theatre Complex to access the balcony. There is no public elevator in Booker Hall of Music. Assisted listening devices are available on a first come, first served basis. Please inquire with House Management upon arrival. Large print programs are available for most performances. Please inquire with House Management upon arrival.
Weather Policy:
Events at the Modlin Center will only be canceled in extreme cases such as when the campus is without power or the artists are unable to travel to Richmond. Should you have a question about the status of a particular event, please call (804) 289-8980 for an up-to-date recording.
Disruptive Behavior/Property Damage:
Any Modlin Center patron who poses a health or sanitary risk or causes a disturbance to other patrons, causes damage to Modlin Center property or does not cooperate with Modlin Center staff when asked to follow Modlin policies, will be asked to leave the venue.
No Perfume, Please:
Please refrain from wearing cologne and perfume since many of our patrons
are highly allergic to those scents.
Babies & Children:
Any and every person, including children and toddlers, must be ticketed before admittance to any performance due to fire regulations that state that each and every patron has a seat. Babes in arms are not allowed. Children under the age of 6 may be admitted to performances at the discretion of house management; however, please note that such children will be subject to rapid eviction should any disturbance ensue. Children under the age of 6 will be admitted to events dubbed "children" or "family" events, as long as tickets are obtained for them. This policy includes infants in carriers, who must have a ticket.
Latecomers:
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of house management at an appropriate break in the performance. House Management reserves the right to seat latecomers in alternate seat locations rather than the seats originally assigned to them. Please note that the majority of Modlin Center evening events start at 7:30 pm. We will not hold performances to seat latecomers. Please make every effort to arrive on time.
Recording Devices:
The use of any recording device, either audio or video, and the taking of photographs, either with or without flash, are strictly prohibited. Please silence cell phones, digital watches and paging devices before the performance.
