Program Advertising

The Modlin Center for the Arts programs are distributed to every patron who attends Modlin Great Performance events. Advertising in the Modlin Center program is an inexpensive way to reach thousands of people. With our continually sold-out performances, advertisers can expect to reach over 30,000 arts patrons each season.

AudienceOver 150,000 individuals from the greater Richmond area attend performances and exhibitions at the Modlin Center for the Arts each year. This influential, well-positioned, highly educated audience is equally composed of men and woman primarily from the greater Richmond area. According to market research, most of these individuals are 35 years of age or older, college educated and have combined household incomes of over $100,000 per year. The Modlin Center audience also consists of University of Richmond students and employees.

Because of the tremendous diversity of the programming, Modlin series audiences are, in fact, composed of a number of audiences. Access to these multiple audiences is an opportunity available ONLY through association with the Modlin Center for the Arts.

Additional market research has revealed that classical music listeners, jazz listeners, theatre and dance lovers, and gallery patrons who comprise the Modlin Center audience are:

  • more than twice as likely to own stocks, mutual funds and securities worth more than $25,000.
  • more likely to own investment property and rent a vacation or weekend home.
  • more likely to travel, take business trips and use a travel agent.
  • more likely to buy personal liability and travel insurance.
  • more likely to purchase luxury or imported cars.
  • more likely to stay in hotels and to eat out more often.

AdvertiseA full season of program advertising will run from September to April. For a half season, choose to advertise from either September to December or January to April. We also schedule ads on an event-by-event basis if there is interest in a particular performance.

Printing is done in black and white only. We prefer that artwork be supplied in digital format. Adobe PDF files are accepted if all original files, fonts and images are included. Otherwise, the preferred digital format is Adobe InDesign for Macintosh, along with all fonts and images stored either on a CD or Zip disk. If your layout is compiled using other software, or if you are using IBM-based systems or software, you may save your file as a Tagged Image File Format (TIFF). Macintosh Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) files may also be utilized, but they must include all original files, fonts and images. All artwork must include a hard copy proof of the final ad which is to appear in the program. As a final option, we will accept camera-ready artwork as long as there are no changes to be made.
