"RFK: The Journey to Justice"

The nation’s foremost radio theater company L.A. Theater Works presents a major new docudrama, co-commissioned by the Modlin Center, focused on Robert F. Kennedy’s personal and political journey. “The RFK Project,” written by Murray Horwitz and Jonathan Estrin, chronicles Kennedy’s transformation from ambivalence towards the Civil Rights movement to one of its fiercest champions.

Mardi Gras Celebration

Celebrate Mardi Gras with a concert of New Orleans jazz as it was originally performed. The University of Richmond Jazz Faculty All-Stars featuring Mike Davison play transcriptions of early jazz classics by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band, Louis Armstrong’s Hot Five and Jelly Roll Morton’s Red Hot Peppers.

Monterey Jazz Festival On Tour

After the success of its 50th Anniversary tour in 2007—including a performance at Richmond’s Landmark Theater—the Monterey Jazz Festival (MJF) launches a new tour in 2010. Appearances feature piano legend Kenny Barron, violinist Regina Carter, baritone Kurt Elling, and guitarist Russell Malone.
